Robin Hill Cable Car
Breathtaking panoramic views of Da Lat from the city's most famous cable car station.

Robin Hill is one of the most famous and accessible viewpoints in Da Lat, serving as the starting point for the scenic cable car that connects the city to the Truc Lam Zen Monastery. Visitors come here to enjoy breathtaking panoramic views of the city’s colorful tile roofs, lush pine forests, and misty valleys below.
About
Perched on a hill overlooking the city, Robin Hill Cable Car has been a beloved Da Lat attraction for decades. The cable car ride itself is an experience — gliding over dense pine canopies with the cool mountain air rushing past, you’ll gain a bird’s-eye perspective of Da Lat that’s hard to match anywhere else.
The station sits at a comfortable elevation that makes it easily accessible by car or motorbike. On clear mornings, visibility stretches across the entire valley, revealing the patchwork of terracotta rooftops, flower gardens, and rolling green hills that define Da Lat’s landscape. The ride crosses over the stunning Tuyen Lam Lake area before arriving at the Truc Lam Zen Monastery, one of Vietnam’s most important Buddhist centers.
The surrounding area has developed into a small tourist hub, with cafes and rest stops catering to visitors. But the real draw remains the view from the top — a sweeping panorama that captures everything that makes Da Lat special: the mist, the pines, the mountains, and the charming city below.
The View
From the cable car and the hilltop station, you’ll see:
- The cityscape — Da Lat’s iconic terracotta rooftops spread across the valley
- Pine forests — Endless stretches of green stretching to the horizon
- Tuyen Lam Lake — The shimmering lake visible from above as the cable car crosses over it
- Misty valleys — Especially dramatic in the early morning when fog fills the lowlands
- Surrounding mountains — The Central Highlands rolling into the distance
The morning hours offer the clearest visibility, but afternoon visits bring dramatic cloud formations rolling through the valley.
